Welcome to Project Universal (the “Website”). By accessing or using this Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately cease use of the Website.
1. Independent Status & Trademark Disclaimer
Project Universal (operated by Universal Contractor Accommodation Hub) is an independent digital marketplace. We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Universal Studios, NBCUniversal, Comcast Corporation, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. Use of the name “Universal” is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply any partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by these entities.
2. Nature of the Service
Project Universal operates as an online marketplace hub for contractor accommodation.
- No Agency: Project Universal acts as a venue for listings only. We are not an estate agent, letting agent, or property manager. We do not own, manage, inspect, or control any properties listed.
- No Warranty: We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, or legality of any listings.
- Direct Interaction: All transactions, communications, and agreements are solely between the Listing Provider (“Seller”) and the Guest/Contractor (“Buyer”).
3. Fees, Payments, and Statutory Rights
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Digital Service Commencement: In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, by purchasing a listing package or multi-property credits, you are providing your express consent for the service to begin immediately.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy: You acknowledge that once the digital service has been fully performed (i.e., your listing has been published or credits applied to your account), you lose your statutory right to a 14-day “cooling-off” period or cancellation. * Final Sale: All sales are final. No refunds are provided for “change of mind” or for listings that do not result in a booking. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 should the digital service itself be faulty.
4. User Responsibilities
- Buyers/Guests: You are solely responsible for conducting due diligence on any Seller before transferring funds. Project Universal is not liable for any financial loss or misrepresentation by third parties.
- Sellers/Landlords: You must ensure all information is accurate and that you have the legal right to market the property. You must comply with all UK housing, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Project Universal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform or any agreements made with other users.
6. Intellectual Property
All proprietary content on this Website is owned by Project Universal. You may not reproduce or modify any part of this Website without prior written consent.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (or the laws of Scotland/Northern Ireland where applicable). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
